While taking these photos it took me a few times before i could start to see the depth of fields in my pictures, so that didn't work very well. What did work is that the pictures turned out good and there is a difference between them. I have learned how to use aperture and how it affects pictures.
While taking these pictures the one thing I had a hard time with was getting the markers in focus without blurring. The depth of field did work really well, however, in the flower pictures. I learned that depth of field can also affect the quality and focus of the picture.
In my self portrait photo, the background symbolizes the place that I live in (the valley) that I love so much. The bottom half is pineview and the top half is Snow Basin. I am blowing the things that are most important to me and that I like. My house is my comfort zone and a place where my family can be together. The razor is symbolizing all the things I love to do with it. I like going to the sand dunes, Moab, trail rides, or just cruising around town. The picture of my dog is symbolic of all my animals because I am a huge fan of them and I love all of the ones I have.
For my portrait I'm still trying to figure out how I want to set it up, but instead of really doing things that I like to do, I want to do things that mean the most to me. My house, which is my comfort place, my animals (however I'm only using one of them). And my family. But I also feel like I am hardworking and that describes a lot about me, so somehow I want to use that.
