Lighting is very important in photography, because without it you wouldn't really have a photo. If you don't have light in a room, can you even see anything? That's the same way photography is. Its very critical to have good lighting as well. For a photo to turn out very well, you need to know how much lighting to have and where. If your subjects back is to the sun, you're really only going to get a shadow more than a picture. But if you find the right time of day when there isn't too much light, or not enough. You're photo will turn out just right.
